this weeks something

geezer does not mean an older person necessarily, but generally refers to a guy in a slightly negative way

git means idiot or in reference to a child, somewhat mischevious

this weeks something

thats different between the UK and the US

In the UK when I offer plastic carrier bags at work, I am often turned down with a grumbled "save the planet and all", Citizens in the UK might begrudge something but they do it from a position of compliance

In the US driving is a right, In the UK it is only slowly leaving the mentality of being a privilege.

todays something...

I have learned while in England

Drivers in my experience, tend to be more cautious in the UK than in the US

When there is inclement weather and things shut down, the English are not happy about it.

today's something...

I have learned while in England

If the taxi is turning, then by golly it is turning.

Where as in the United States things might be spelled with a z like immunize in the United Kingdom they spell most z words (z being called zed here) with an S like immunise.
