big things, little things

Partner and I have been talking a lot lately, mostly about money and it being so tight. I started looking for a second job a few days ago and found a good possibility in one which I applied for today. Within a couple of hours of emailing the given contact at the job website, I had an email response about when I could start and when I could come in for an interview! I responded about an ideal start-date but said it was possible to start sooner if really necessary. She responded with an interview time and said I might be able to start NEXT WEEK!! With my current job at the chemist having my hours cut back to my contracted 3 nights a week (just 18 paid hours) this was a very exciting thing for us and would help out greatly. It would mean roughly 48 hour weeks but you know how it is, do what it takes to pay the bills and all.

Daughter and I went to a place called Genievieves(sp?) to do some pottery work. We have been trying to do inexpensive stuff with her to help keep her occupied/spend time with her while she is on summer break. She painted a cat, no surprise there, I then suggested she do another one especially for her mothers birthday. Tomorrow we are going to see G-Force, which daughter has wanted to see for awhile. We will also hopefully be picking up some gardening supplies.

A busy month ahead, we are going to Wales from the 12th through the 14th so that partner can interview the leader of a micronation there. It will be interesting to do with the little money we have but we think we can pull it off. Next, later in the month partner is going to Manchester to participate in the Royal Geographer Society conference. I also work my last bank holiday of the year.

Peace... One Love

Don't be afraid to tell daughter no while money is tight. She will be disappointed, but it has to be done. Does she have puzzles? I think they might be good. Especially if you can find some at a second hand store.

Please email me how your day went and how it goes finding the planting supplies. :)
